- Kansas Speedway is the largest tourist attraction in the state of Kansas.
- About 11 million cubic yards of dirt were moved during construction. That is equal to 1 million dump truck loads, or enough to fill an NFL stadium five times.
- To equal the amount of storm pipe used in the speedway, the Sears Tower in Chicago would be laid end to end 45 times.
- Kansas Speedway has grandstand seating for 75,000 spectators. Upon completion of the final phase of construction, the track could seat the entire population of the Virgin Islands, 150,000.
- Access to Kansas Speedway is unparalleled in the racing industry. The track is adjacent to two major Interstate highways, I-70 and I-435, and more than 55-lane miles of roads.
- Kansas Speedway's 300-foot long vehicular tunnel is 36 feet wide by 19 feet high, large enough to hold three full-size motorhomes side-by-side.
- Ground was broken May 25, 1999.
- Inaugural event is the NASCAR Winston West and ARCA RE/MAX Series races on June 2, 2001
